Clocktower is a family owned business

The Clocktower Story

Clocktower Coffee Roasting Company is a small artisan coffee roaster, known for brewing fresh coffee and espresso beverages, using quality beans which have been expertly roasted on-site daily.

Established in 2000, Clocktower is independently owned and operated. In the beginning, two families came together. One was already deeply involved and experienced in the coffee roasting business, while the other came to the table with a rich history of public service and small business ownership. The goal? To serve the freshest and most delicious coffee beverages in the heart of Silicon Valley and to create a warm and relaxing place for the local community to gather and linger. The result? It's not just what some say is the best cup of coffee in the Silicon Valley, but also a fun place to meet friends, a comfortable spot to sip and relax, and a great source to find unique gifts for every occasion.

In 2007, Clocktower expanded to it's second location just down the road, at 425 N. Whisman Rd. At Clocktower II, customers find the same inviting decor and fabulous customer service, a slightly expanded menu to include soup, sandwiches and other tasty additions to our menu, and of course the same great fresh roasted coffee and espresso beverages for which Clocktower has become renowned. Clocktower II is also the site of a
private conference room, providing the community and businesses a larger private space for meetings and gatherings.

Meet the Owners

The roast master, manager and smiling guy behind the counter is Nima, with over 15 years of experience in the coffee business—brewing, roasting, making friends! He's managed many local cafes over the years and now he's having fun managing three little kids at home and two jumping businesses in Mountain View!

Jody is the bean counter and sometimes jumps behind the register to have a little fun meeting and serving our customers. You may sometimes catch her with Lorraine, setting out new merchandise they've discovered at the latest gift show, and keeping the gift offerings fresh and exciting.

Then there's Joe. Some remember him from his days in the PAPD. He's certainly owned a few businesses of his own—trophies, t-shirts, locksmith, with a few other endeavors along the way to the coffee business. These days what really keeps his pulse racing is bringing the
Soap Box Derby to the local kids (and a great cup of Clocktower coffee, of course).
